We’re searching for a new business development manager (BDM) to help drive our next phase of growth across Azure Cloud, CloudOps, AI automation, and Microsoft CSP services.
This is a permanent, full-time role, with a £40,000-£60,000 base salary (DOE) and uncapped OTE with accelerators.

The purpose of the role is to drive new business revenue by owning the full sales cycle across CloudWize’s AI, CloudOps, and CSP service lines. The BDM will work closely with the CEO, SDR, marketing, and presales to qualify opportunities, position solutions, produce proposals, and close new customers.
Technical and Domain Competencies
CSP Licensing and Azure CSP (Required):
Solid understanding of Azure and Microsoft 365 CSP models, pricing, and consumption.
Able to discuss reservations, Azure Hybrid Benefit, SaaS vs PaaS, and general cost considerations.
Confident evaluating licensing scenarios and usage patterns.
Azure Cloud Fundamentals:
Strong commercial and technical grasp of core cloud concepts.
Able to discuss migrations, app modernisation, governance, and CloudOps at a business level.
Capable of qualifying opportunities for Landing Zones, observability, security baselines, and managed cloud services.
AI and Automation Awareness:
Interest in Azure OpenAI, Cognitive Search, automation, and data-driven services.
Able to identify potential use cases for chatbots, analytics, workflow automation, and CloudWize’s AI service offerings.
Core Responsibilities
New Business Acquisition:
Own and close net-new customer sales across SMB, mid-market, and enterprise.
Lead discovery conversations across Azure cloud foundations, AI/automation, CloudOps, FinOps, and CSP licensing.
Run qualification, presentations, solution positioning, pricing discussions, and deal negotiation.
Produce proposals, pricing, and Statements of Work (with support from operations).
Pipeline and SDR Collaboration:
Work with the SDR to convert meetings into qualified opportunities.
Provide clear qualification criteria and handover structure.
Maintain consistent follow-up and deal momentum.
Align weekly on target accounts, outreach campaigns, and meeting quality.
Marketing Alignment:
Support marketing with events, webinars, and campaigns.
Provide feedback on messaging, lead quality, and customer insights.
Contribute to case studies and content when required.
Sales Competencies
Strong solution selling and challenger-style approach.
Ability to articulate business value, ROI, and commercial outcomes.
Experience handling proposals, pricing, procurement, and SoWs.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Confident speaking with technical and senior business stakeholders.
